On July 22nd from 11:00-1:00pm, author duo and couple George Weinstein and Kim Conrey will be visiting Poe & Company Bookstore for a book signing!

Kim Conrey is the author of the urban romance Wayward Saviors Series and sci-fi romance Ascending Ares Series. She is a local author who also writes a blog about living with OCD and serves as the VP of Operations for Atlanta Writers Club. She is also a co-host of the Wild Women Who Write Take Flight Podcast featuring authors and industry professionals with the goal of supporting female writers. Conrey recently received the Georgia Author of the Year Award for Romance from the Georgia Writer’s Association for her novel Stealing Ares.

Conrey’s latest novel Nicholas Eternal, published in June 2023, is the first book in the Wayward Saviors Series. The novel follows the story of Nicholas Theodoulos, an “immortal savior in desperate need of saving.” Noory Abramson, a woman with street smarts and a touch of grace, may be his savior or his ruin. Noory learns of Nick’s abilities to rescue children and avenge those who brought them harm, and she realizes he may be her last hope to find her missing charge, sixteen-year-old Grace.

George Weinstein is the author of southern historical fiction novels Hardscrabble Road and Return to Hardscrabble Road as well as kidnapping thriller Watch What You Say and many more novels. He is a local author who serves currently as Executive Director of the Atlanta Writers Club. He has directed the Atlanta Writers Conference since 2008. He received the Literary Titan Book Award for Return to Hardscrabble Road.

Published in June 2023, Weinstein’s latest novel, Offlining, featuring the chaos of mid-21st century Atlanta. The novel focuses around the idea of “offlining” which Weinstein defines as “giving up the online world for reality, where the graphics aren’t great, nobody can fly, and everything hurts.” The book follows the story of Jerusalem “Jeru” Pix who lives most of his life in a virtual world until his high-school crush asks him to do a “teeny, tiny favor: stop her brother from becoming the next cult-inspired suicide bomber.” No big deal. Jeru must navigate the futuristic world filled with the threats of terrorism and rampant religious zealotry.
